About Me

I am a consultant ENT surgeon and laryngologist specialising in voice disorders and vocal health. My NHS practice is at the Royal National ENT Voice Centre (UCLH), and I see private patients at The London Clinic and One Welbeck.

I chose to focus on voice care because I understand how life-altering it can be when your voice doesn’t function as you need it to, whether in professional settings or everyday life. My goal is to provide expert, evidence-based care to help each patient overcome their vocal difficulties and regain their voice.

Experience

In 2022, I was appointed as a consultant ENT surgeon and laryngologist at the Royal National ENT Hospital, part of University College London NHS Foundation Trust. That same year, I began private practice at The London Clinic and One Welbeck. Currently, I run five clinics and two operating lists each week.

Between 2021-2022, I trained at the MGH Voice Centre in Boston, USA, where I gained valuable experience in caring for performing artists and managing complex voice conditions. I also received training in advanced surgical techniques, including the use of the green light laser, which I have since introduced into my UK practice.

From 2010 to 2021, I trained in ENT at University College London and Imperial College NHS Trusts, focusing on laryngology and voice disorders. Through this, I gained expertise in managing vocal cord lesions, treating vocal cord paralysis, and voice feminisation procedures. I also developed skills in diagnosing and restoring voice in professional voice users and individuals experiencing age-related changes to the vocal cords.

Throughout my career, I have been actively involved in research and was awarded a PhD in 2017 for my work on using cell therapies to address vocal cord and airway scarring. I am currently an Associate Professor at University College London, where I continue to research innovative therapies for treating vocal cord scarring, age-related vocal cord changes, and vocal cord paralysis.
